So many buyers try to save money and get a deal that they do not realize they just purchased counterfeit Bluetooth headset, case, car charger. I have been in the business for over 20 years and did not realize how tough counterfeit cell phone accessories have become.
Take for example you purchase a Bluetooth headset you think is made by Motorola. The Bluetooth headset is fake, but the charger is brand X. Original Motorola Bluetooth headset will have an original home charger in the box. Years ago Motorola and other manufactures tried to make it easier to tell the difference between original and fake products, but China is pretty good.
One of the reason counterfeit cell phone accessories is a big problem is due to Motorola moving their manufacturing to China. How often do you see “Made in China”. The counterfeiters have access to the original product so it’s easy to make a fake copy of it. Ebay is probably the best place to locate fake cell phone accessories.
Search for a Chanel Face Plate and look at all the listings. I am not sure of all Chanel products, but I know they don’t make or licensed any cell phone face plates. I was shocked to find out they make counterfeit car chargers. We sell Original car chargers for about half the cost of a local phone store, but on Ebay you can find a counterfeit car charger for half our price.
Counterfeiting cell phone accessories is so bad that Coach, Chanel and Louis Vuitton have employess scan Ebay looking for fake products so they can get them removed from the Ebay site. They have a major challenge, but how you can blame them for trying. How would you like people making money off all your hard work with a counterfeit product.
I guess it’s another example of how it’s hard to trust people or cheap buyers are easier to take advantage of in business.
